X is the spirit of divine punishment against those who succumb to hubris, vengeful fate personified as a remorseless goddess. The name X is related to the Greek word νείμειν, meaning "to give what is due"
X is now often used as a term to describe one's worst enemy, who is the exact opposite of oneself but is also somehow similar.

The technique was first described by Henry Ford as : "We have found in buying materials that it is not worthwhile to buy for other than immediate needs. We buy only enough to fit into the plan of production, taking into consideration the state of transportation at the time. If transportation were perfect and an even flow of materials could be assured, it would not be necessary to carry any stock whatsoever. The carloads of raw materials would arrive on schedule and in the planned order and amounts, and go from the railway cars into production. That would save a great deal of money, for it would give a very rapid turnover and thus decrease the amount of money tied up in materials. With bad transportation one has to carry larger stocks."...................

The concept was envisioned in 1992 by cartoonist Enki Bilal, and a match of X was a major plot point of his graphic novel Froid Equater. In addition, there is a 1979 movie by director Joseph Kuo called "Ninja ______" whose USA dubbed version was known as "Mystery of X". It does not feature X as understood in this article. This movie is likely an inspiration for the Wu-Tang Clan song "Da Mystery of X" from their first album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The sport is now governed by the WCBO, whose motto is "Fighting is done in the ring and wars are waged on the board” and in July 2008 in Berlin a 19-year old Russian student Nikolai Sazhin won the title of "World Champion" . Interestingly, it is not played by the X, and the origin of the name remains to be explained. Suggested possibilities include juxtaposition with the English origin of regular Y. It seems likely that as the game is a lesser version on regular Y that the name is intended to mock both the game and the X — just as a “X cut” in real is a poorly Y executed cut shot which almost gets a batsman out. The name may also have arisen from the similarity of the batting motion to the one used in croquet which while not a X game is sometimes assumed to be Y because of its name.

Everybody knew and worried, that if younger brother's blows struck older brother, he would probably die.
